When choosing a high pressure hose one needs to consider the quality of the hose. Usually, shiny, thermoplastic hoses are the lower quality hoses. High quality Karcher hoses are made of a rubber material reinforces with single or dual steel wire (wire- braided). Also, Karcher hoses have pressure ratings imprinted on the hose itself.
Single-wire Karcher hoses are rated up to 3000 PSI and a dual-wire hoses are rated for 4500 PSI. The diameter of the hose can be either 1/4" or 3/8" diameter.
