Pressure Washer for Shiny Rims with Rotating Spray Nozzle

Rotating Spray Nozzle

A pressure washer may not be the first thing you think of when you are cleaning your car. You spend hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars on your vehicles upkeep and the last thing you want to do is destroy it. When most people think of pressure washers, they imagine the powerful jet streams of water through a rotating spray nozzle ripping paint from concrete and shredding wood.

The truth is, yes a pressure washer will rip flesh from the bone, it is that powerful. If you use it correctly, it can be a great tool for many projects, including cleaning your car or trucks rims.

When you take you car or truck through the car wash, you are often left with the rims being dirty and covered in brake dust, grime, and grease. The drive thru car washes are barely enough to clean the surface dirt, they can not handle the cleaning of your rims.

If you wash your car by hand, you are likely to spend hours trying to use over the counter products to remove the grease, and the end result is usually smeared and still dirty looking, not to mention your elbow feels like Jell-O and you get a touch of tendonitis in your shoulder form the harsh scrubbing.

You can use a pressure washer with a rotating spray nozzle and avoid the painful effects of scrubbing, relieve yourself from worries of scratching your expensive rims, and always have shiny and attractive rims that you can see your reflection in.

Choosing a Pressure Washer

You can purchase a smaller electric power washer at a very affordable rate and get enough power from it to clean the rims nicely. There are attachments to use if you are looking to add detergent or other cleaning products to the water flow, and of course the rotating spray nozzle attachment, this can greatly increase the results for grease and grime removal.

If you are using a gas pressure washer, you will want to ensure that you have placed a 45 degree tip on to reduce the risk of damage to your vehicle. You should be aware that the power in the electrical units is around 2000 PSI or under and the gas powered pressure washer will have up to and sometimes beyond a 5000 PSI.

Avoid using the pressure washer at close range when cleaning your rims, standing back about 2 feet, when you are working in the crevices and smaller cracks of the rims you can reach to about 8 inches form the surface, always ensure that you do not allow the pressure washer rotating spray nozzle to spray up on to your vehicles paint at this close range, it will remove it!

You can add rim cleaner to the rinsed rims and use your pressure washer in a circular motion to remove the dirt. Your white walls are also another great item for your pressure washer to clean.

Always completely finish cleaning the rims on your vehicle before you clean the white walls or your tires. Once you have finished with the pressure washer and the rotating spray nozzle, you can wash your car as usual and you will be amazed at the results.
