Pressure Washer Accessories

Pressure Washer Accessories

A pressure washer consists of three fundamental parts: a motor, a high pressure hose and a gun. Aside from these basics, there exist a number of pressure washer accessories which you may want to get to enhance the performance of your pressure washer or to make your life even much easier than it already is. Check out some of the most popular ones in this list.

  • Power Washer Brushes. The spray from a washer is already very powerful and good. However, brush attachments allow you to do some additional scrubbing on surfaces for a more even and smoother finish.
  • Cleaning Heads. Blasting water in cylindrical-shaped containers is a finicky matter if you just use the regular nozzle. Cleaning heads adjust the spread of the water flow so that pressure cleaning smaller areas is easy. Use these pressure washer accessories to spray-clean barrels, tubs and tanks without having to worry about the impact of high pressure damaging the surfaces.
  • Extension Wands. These pressure washer accessories extend the vertical reach of your high pressure hose. Because the wand is stiff, it can be held high and can stand between 12 and 24 feet. The extension wand is also called a telescoping wand.
  • Gutter Cleaners. Also known as cleaning gutter wands, gutter cleaners are attached to the tip of extension wands. The heads are otatable and often C-shaped or U-shaped, letting you clean at a convenient angle your roof, gutter and other nooks and corners.
  • Spray Nozzles. Attached to the tip of the gun, nozzles further increase the pressure of the liquid and serve as the final exit points of the out-flowing water. They also add a touch of artistry to the flow. Depending on the type used, nozzles may squirt water in spirals, in circles or in thin jets.
  • Oils and Lubricants. When it comes to the maintenance of the motor, nothing is much handier than this pair of lubricating pressure washer accessories. They keep the engine from squeaking and inviting rust. As a preventive measure, make sure to use enough water in the engine. Inadequate liquid supply can damage the pump of even the best-lubricated motors.
  • Sandblasters. Cleaning with sand is not just a matter of stuffing your pressure washer with sand. You need sandblasters, a special combo of pressure washer accessories equipped with the appropriate hose, nozzle and chamber where the mixing of sand with water or air takes place. Sandblasters let you clean and etch into hard surfaces such as brick and concrete.
  • Water Brooms. Instead of using the regular nozzle which spurts pressured water like a shower, you may connect the broom to one end of the high pressure hose. The broom is lined with a number of exit points, distributing the flow of water, letting you cover a wider spraying area and enabling you to achieve a more uniform cleaning pattern.

Aside from the popular pressure washer accessories listed above, there are definitely other accessories you can purchase to fit your specific needs – float valves, storage tanks and pet washing machines, to name a few.
